Anemone x hybrida Honorine Jobert
(Redirected from Anemone x hybrida Honorine Jobert)
A good plant for the back of the border and some bright autumn colour. It grows up to 1.20m tall and 60cm wide, making it quite a big block. However, with it’s pure white, open faced flowers shining on mass it’s lovely. This variety has single flowers with bright yellow anthers in the centre - like an elegant daisy. The leaves can get a bit tatty so its worth planting them behind a low growing evergreen so you just get the perfect beauty of the flowers.
Japanese Anemone are equally happy in part shade or full sun. Cut down the straggly stalks after flowering and give a Maintenance:Mulching|mulch]] in the spring after tidying up the tatty leaves. When happy in a garden this plant will self seed freely - so you may get a garden full. However, be ruthless and dig up any new plants you don’t want and give to friends or compost.
